Our Residential Irrigation Repair Technicians are the face of the company. You’ll be meeting new customers every day, fixing sprinkler systems, helping people solve real problems fast, and learning a trade that you can grow with for years.
This is an active, rewarding role where 50% of the job is people, and 50% is hands-on work. If you’re someone who enjoys being trusted, working independently, listening to music or podcasts between jobs, and making customers genuinely happy, you’ll love this position.
You don’t need prior irrigation experience—we train everything. All you need is a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work hard in the sun.
What You’ll Do
Every day looks a little different, but your responsibilities include:
Diagnosing wiring issues, valve problems, and low-pressure situations
Repairing valves, fixing leaks, and replacing broken sprinkler heads
Installing and programming timers/controllers
Running full system coverage checks
Teaching homeowners how their system works and what you’re fixing
Documenting repairs with notes and photos in Housecall Pro
Communicating clearly with customers and the CSR/dispatcher
Traveling between job sites and managing your daily route
Working both independently and with apprentices when assigned
You’ll become the go-to expert for customers—someone they trust to help them understand what’s going on in their yard.

Must lift 50-100 lbs, dig as needed, kneel, bend, work outdoors in heat, and handle valves, piping, and tools safely.
No irrigation experience required — we train from scratch
Must speak basic English for customer communication
Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking to homeowners
Fast learner with good problem-solving instincts
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Valid driver’s license (company vehicle provided)
Must pass a background check and drug test
Prior physical labor experience is a plus but not required
Positive attitude and interest in learning a long-term trade

Technicians go through 4 weeks of structured training including diagnosis, wiring, valves, hydraulics, leaks, heads, timers, and customer communication. You’ll start by shadowing experienced techs and gradually take on your own simple jobs until you’re fully independent.
